Christian Church – mid-1940’s

This building was the historic Union Church building used by Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian and Christian congregations in the very early days when no other building was available. As congregations moved into their own sanctuaries, others made use of the Union Church building. The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) was the last religious group to be housed there.  In 1998 the building was given to the Kerr County Historical Commission and moved to its present location on the Schreiner University campus where a restoration project began and was completed in 2003.
