Our research library contains over 4,000 items, including:

• Kerr County land records, deaths, divorces, and probate from 1856
• Kerr County birth index, 1877-1935
• 42-volume set of Kerr County obituaries from 1985 to present
• Texas county histories and Texas general reference books
• Reference books for other states
• Periodicals from genealogical and historical societies
• Military research collection
• Family stories of local families and others in the United States
• Early local area publications:  Frontier Times (1925-1942) and Grinstead Graphics (1924-1925)
• Use of computers that include subscriptions to several genealogical websites

Special Collections

U.S. Army Camel Documents

Copies of over 900 pages of official documents from National Archives, bound into six volumes, telling the story of how camels came to Camp Verde in Kerr County in the mid-1800s.
